“F For Fake” (1975)

My latest column is on Orson Welles’ final completed film, F For Fake (1975). I figured that with all the attention being given to Citizen Kane, his first film, this week that it might be a good time to look at his final masterwork. Here’s the link: http://thecelebritycafe.com/reviews/film-friday-f-fake-directed-orson-welles-09-16-2011

The film questions what it means to be an artist, who exactly is an expert, and what makes reality real. When you watch the film, it isn’t such a stretch to see that while Citizen Kanemay be the best film Welles ever made, F For Fake is the most fun.
